Mellon has worked closely with Indiana University over the years on nine sculpture projects, including a bust of legendary IU Chancellor Herman B. Wells. The bronze busts pictured above honoring diving coach Hobie Billingsley, who coached five olympic medalists, and of Bart Kaufman, an exceptional former IU college baseball player whose philanthropic support of IU helped build the new state-of-the-art Kaufman Field, were each unveiled in 2013.
