| Mellon spoke at The University of Rochester’s “Meliora Weekend” October 11, 2003 on “Innovation in Sculpture.” His talk focused on the sculptures that Mellon has created to honor innovators in science, business, politics, philanthropy, and the arts. The stellar line-up of speakers included Craig Ventor, of the Human Genome Project, Garth Fagan, Tony-Award winning choreographer of Broadway's The Lion King, Eliot Spitzer, New York Attorney General, David Neeleman, CEO of JetBlue Airways, Dean Kamen, inventor of the Segway Human Transporter, and other achievers in business and the arts. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
