December 8, 2003 at Boston University a bronze bust of President Emeritus John Silber was unveiled. The bust was a gift to the University from Ohio businessman and philanthropist Bruce Douglas, who has known Silber for nearly two decades and who is a long-time patron of Mellon's works in Bronze.
